-          Testing is defined as a systematic means of collecting information; therefore, in the education sector nothing assists to achieve this objective like implementing standardized testing program
-          Good education in a country is an important investment and promotes economic growth and improved living standards

a.       Standardized testing program is quantifiable; thus promotes nationwide efficiency
b.      The system is objective and practical
c.       Easy for policy makers, parents and other stakeholders in the education sector to contribute to improvement of the education system
II.                Body
A. Standardized testing program is quantifiable; thus promotes nationwide efficiency
o   Learners are tested in a uniform test (Bastedo, 2012).
§  Learners are graded the same countrywide as easy for comparison
§  Reduces biases and allows all the graduates to have equal opportunities in accessing employment
o   Teachers become more accountable, reliable and efficient (Phelps, 2005).
§  A standardized testing system assists teachers to determine what to teach students and when to teach
§  Reduces educator or teacher bias or emotions
o   The federal government and other education monitoring institutions can easily monitor and oversee a standardized testing system
§  Allows for ranking and comparing of university and college performance
§  Being able to compare universities and colleges through a standardized test allows the federal government to determine other factors that hinder good performance; such as climatic or environmental conditions (Mathison & Ross, 2004).
B. The system is objective and Practical
o   Easy to administer and consumes less time compared to other assessment systems (Stufflebeam, Madaus & Kellaghan, 2000).
o   Scoring automation
§  Computerized grading and scoring is possible in a standardized testing system
§  Minimizes errors and easy to do for the many learners around the country
C. Easy for policy makers, parents and other stakeholders in the education sector to contribute to the improvement of the education system
·         Parents can easily compare the performance of their children locally and countrywide
·         Parents can easily decide where to take their children for higher education
·         Parents can easily track a learner’s progress
·         Policy makers can easily make decisions
o   Can easily match the school curriculum and content taught in all universities and colleges
o   Allows for matching of textbooks and other resources used in teaching (Spring, 2011).
III.             Conclusion
-          Testing in the education system plays significant roles thus a competent approach allows achieving these objectives
-          Implementing a voluntarily standardized testing program is the most appropriate technique in the education system of colleges and universities because it has a wide range of benefits.
-          All stakeholders in education must support a testing program that assists to make our graduates competent for the job sector as well as be able to compete globally.
